A Pinch of Snuff is a comical and adventurous story by Manohar Malgonkar that takes up the reader’s excitement till the end.

The narrator’s mother announces the arrival of NanuKaka, her brother. The narrator asks his mother to send him a telegram informing him of his transfer order to avoid him. But his mother tells him that he must have started his journey. The purpose of his visit was to meet some ministers. So, the narrator felt that he would stay for a long time as ministers do not meet people for months. But his mother assured him on the contrary.

The narrator meets NanuKaka at the station. And when he is asked to arrange a meeting with the minister, the narrator said that he was an officer on probation and could not do so. At this NanuKaka took A Pinch of Snuff and was lost in thought.

NanuKaka meets Sohanlal accidentally and when he came to know that he was at daggers drawn with the welfare minister, NanuKaka decided to solve the problem. With the use of his wisdom, he managed to resolve the situation. After this, the Welfare Minister came to meet NanuKaka, and the next day he left the narrator’s home.

लेखक को नानुकाका के लिए अपना कमरा खाली करना पड़ा। जब वह उन्हें कल्याण मंत्री के पास ले गए, तो दो घंटे बाद अपशब्दों के साथ वापस आ गए क्योंकि वह उनसे नहीं मिल सके।

नानुकाका गलती से सोहनलाल से मिलता है और जब उसे पता चला कि वह कल्याण मंत्री के साथ खंजर है, तो नानुकाका ने समस्या को हल करने का फैसला किया। उन्होंने अपनी सूझबूझ से स्थिति का समाधान निकाला। इसके बाद कल्याण मंत्री नानुकाका से मिलने आए और अगले दिन वे लेखक के घर से चले गए।
